Kniesers renew vows to celebrate 40th anniversary
Anita and Richard Knieser, formerly of Penn?Yan, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 at Congregation Shema Yisreal, Messianic Synagogue, Rochester.
The couple’s attendants were their daughters, Andrina C. Oldenberg of Orange, Calif. and Bethanie M. Russell of Westminster, Calif.; Pamela P. Kuver, the brides sister, of Converse, Texas and nieces Emily Elise Witter and Amelia Gabriella Mae Witter of Salem, Va.
William J. Russell, son-in-law, of Westminster, Calif., was best man and grandsons Aidan Joshua Russell and Gavin James William Russell were ring bearers.
James Appel, Messianic Rabbi of Congregation Shema Yisrael, was the officiant, assisted by Benjamin Rogers, cantor.
Donita Painter and Claude Painter sang with musical accompaniment by Trudy Moon, Randy Katz and Aaron Jones.
An hors d’oeuvres and dessert reception followed the ceremony. A dinner followed the reception at Sanibel?Cottage, Webster.
Mr. and Mrs. Knieser were career teachers at the Penn Yan Middle School, retiring in 1997.
They now reside in Webster.
