Penn Yan wrestling tournament is Saturday

A youth wrestling staple returns to Penn Yan Elementary School Saturday.  

The 29th Annual Penn Yan Lions Club Tournament for pee-wee level and junior-high grapplers is scheduled for Saturday, March 12.

Weigh-ins for ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 will start at 7:30 a.m., and wrestling will start at 9a.m.

Weigh-ins for 11-12, and 13-14 will start at 11:30 a.m., and wrestling will start at 1 p.m. 

High school rules apply in the bracket-style tournament.  Registration will begin just before 7:30 a.m. with no pre-registration.  

Wrestlers should bring proof of age. 

The entry fee is $20 per wrestler, $2 per adult and students/pre-school are free.
