Penn Yan, Dundee car show dates set

Start those cars and break out the carnauba wax!  Upcoming car show dates are confirmed in Yates County.  Cruisin’ Night in downtown Penn Yan on Friday, June 17 – it’s the event’s 15th year.  The streets close at 4 p.m., and on-site registration begins at 5 p.m.

A local car club favorite, Penn Yan Cruisin’ Night offers food and music, and shopping since local stores stay open late.  Coupes from the 1920s park alongside modern muscle cars, sports cars next to fire trucks, and the occasional motorcycle.  The evening ends with a cruise around the village at 8:30 p.m., with many local residents waving from porches and curbside.  Pre-registration is $8; call: 315-536-3111, or contact for registration form.

Anyone interested in volunteering to help out with the event should contact the Yates Chamber of Commerce at 315-536-3111.

Dundee Show ‘n Go at Martini’s ShurFine is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29.  In addition to all kinds of cars, motorcycles and trucks, Show ‘n Go attracts a few restored vintage tractors – truly offering something for everyone.

Local not-for-profits offer food and snacks, downtown Dundee businesses are open, and there are great car-tunes playing all evening.

Parking opens at 5:30 p.m. Early arrivals must park on the street until display parking opens. Registration by donation. Pre-registration is appreciated; email: or call: 607-243-7845 with your name and town, year, make and model of your vehicle.
