Event of the Day: EPIC No Frack Event

An EPIC No Frack Event at Ithaca College on June 25 will feature the broadest line-up of fracking experts as well as dance music, films and a rally. The all-day event (8 A.m. to 11 p.m) will feature 45 speakers, six movies and 10 musicians.

Speakers include author and scientist Sandra Steingraber, biogeochemist Robert Howarth, EPA?whistleblower Weston WIlson, former gas industry insider James Northrup, Toxics Targeting president Walter Hang, Gasland featured cowboy Rick Roles, documentary filmmaker Debra Anderson, authors, attorneys, filmmakers and Pennsylvania, COlorado and New Mexico residents currently living with the effects of fracking.

The event, sponsored by Jeff and Jodi Andrysick and cosponsored by Catskill Citizens for Safe Energy, Coalition to Protect Nw York and Marcellus Protest, is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Campus Center and Ford Hall, 953 Danby Road, Ithaca. Directions can be found at www.ithaca.edu/ about/directions.php.
