Les Miserables music to be featured in concert this weekend

The music of Les Miserables will be featured in an Oct. 15 concert at Penn Yan Academy.
PYA music teacher and Drama Club Advisor Jessica Kinsey, along with Penn Yan Class of 2004 graduate Ryan Bailey are co-directing the performance.
Kinsey and Bailey came up with the idea to bring together the voices of current students, staff, alumni, and community members to show students that music plays a large role in life every day and you do not have to stop once you leave high school. Guest performers are music educators and some perform professionally. Many participate in local church and community choirs.
Bailey also candidly admits his personal desire to have the opportunity to perform again in his home town on the stage of the beautifully renovated Penn Yan Academy Auditorium. Several other PYA alumni echo that desire and quickly accepted the invitation to return for the concert.
Special guest performers in the leading roles include: Stanley Weaver, Ryan Bailey, Jason Kinsey, Robert Dumas, Jason Riley, Peg Patterson, Alycia Moravec, Jessica Kinsey, Megan Bailey, and Jennifer Walczak.
There is no admission charge for the concert. Donations will be gratefully accepted to benefit the PYA Drama Club. Seats will be available on a first come basis and the doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
