Keuka Lake was a balmy 47 degrees early this week, so taking part in the 2012 Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday could be a refreshing way to start the weekend.

The Switzerland Inn’s kickoff event for the summer season is this Saturday, March 31.

•Open at 10 a.m.

•Only those 21 and up may enter and jump

•Jumper registration 11 - 1 p.m.

•First jumper 1:30 p.m.

There will be a DJ and music throughout the day, with grills on both decks, and prize give-a-ways.

Special prizes will be awarded for most the original costume and the best couple or group.
