Members of the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra will perform several concerts in the area this summer.

From mid-June to Aug. 4,  world- class chamber music will be heard in the heart of the Finger Lakes.

All concerts are sponsored by the Finger Lakes Chamber Music Festival (FLCMF), and feature members of the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, (MCO), Richard Auldon Clark, artistic director.

The Finger Lakes Chamber Music Series will present its 10th season in 2012 beginning with student concerts and workshops in the Dundee Central School and Penn Yan Academy and Elementary Schools this Thursday, May 24.

On June 9, a special concert, “The Best of the Best,” featuring gifted student musicians who participate in a workshop series led by Clark will be held at Hunt Country Vineyards.

A new effort this year will be a joint project with the Yates County Arts Center. In late July, Clark will work with select students at a four-day workshop at Sunny Point. The participants will compose and perform a piece.
