Manhattan Chamber Orhestra musicians will appear at Belhurst March 15.

An ensemble of Manhattan Chamber Musicians will present “Music at the Castle” at noon March 15 at Belhurst, 4069 Route 14, Geneva.

The event combines a sumptuous brunch, with some traditional Irish fare, spirited music, an intriguing silent auction, and a delectable dessert buffet.

This FLCMF event is an opportunity to step out, beat the winter blues, and enjoy music up close and casual in a unique castle-like setting reminiscent of by-gone days.

The musicians, with artistic director Richard Auldon Clark, will perform on electric violins, electronic keyboard, and double bass. The eclectic program will include many styles of music: baroque, classical, rag, blues, ethnic folk, jazz, and pop, as well as some Irish gems.

Sponsored by the Finger Lakes Chamber Music Festival, this event raises funds to send musicians from the MCO into local school districts and summer camps, giving hundreds of children the experience of quality live music.

Last year, “Music at the Castle” was a sellout. Ordering tickets in advance is strongly recommended. Price: brunch and concert, all inclusive/$55; youth under 13/$25.
