UPDATE: Due to the success of the Dundee Girl's Basketball team going on to the Section V Championship game, Saturday night's performance of Little Shop of Horrors! is postponed to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 8 as a matinée.

Feed your need for musical hilarity with this sci-fi smash about a man-eating plant this weekend at Dundee Central School.

The deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors! has been devouring the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, the duo who also wrote Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin, are the creative geniuses behind the charmingly tongue-in-cheek comedy.

Based on the film by Roger Corman, Little Shop Of Horrors! is one of the longest-running shows Off-Broadway, and the star-studded Hollywood musical version earned worldwide success.

The little shop’s meek florist assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names after his coworker crush, the sweet but gullible Audrey.

The plant, Audrey II, grows into an out of this world R&B-singing carnivore that promises Seymour unending fame and fortune as long as he keeps finding victims to feed its ever growing hunger.

Directed by Scott Shepardson and starring Christopher Knapp and Anna Gilbert as Seymour and Audrey, Little Shop of Horrors! runs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March 5 & 6, and 1 p.m. Sunday, March 8. Tickets for adults are $6 and for students and seniors are $5.
