What do you know about the WW II Courthouse cannons?
Richard MacAlpine of the Yates County Genealogical & Historical Society has plenty of information on the old Civil War cannons that disappeared during WW II, but nobody seems to know much about the ones that are there now. “The main things I'd like to know is who was responsible for their being there and when were they put in the park. I do know that they are 57 mm anti-tank guns made in Pa. in 1942. There’s a plaque right on the gun.” E-mail any information to him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
