Penn Yan and Dundee both feel defeat in final games

The Penn Yan Mustangs nearly stole victory from Midlakes Screaming Eagles with about 12 seconds left in the Class B1 Section V Championship game at Blue Cross Arena, but Midlakes scored a clutch field goal to put the game away at 38-36.

Midlakes (17-6) led 9-5 at the end of the first quarter, 23-11 at the half, and 27 to 20 after three quarters.

In his final game, Penn Yan Coach Chuck Roach received the coach of the year award. Adam Stork, Mike Worden and James Willson were named to the all tournament team.  Ethan Kamholtz received the sportsmanship award.

Harley-Allendale-Columbia Wolves led the whole game as they defeated the Dundee Scots at Blue Cross Arena Friday, March 6 in the Class C2 crown by a score of 59 to 51.

The Wolves led by 13-9 at the end of the first quarter, 27-23 at the half and 42-36 after the third quarter.

Ryan Ballard and Justin Schenck were named to the all-tournament team and Joe Tortolon earned the sportsmanship award.
