The Penn Yan Public Library Budget and Trustee vote will take place on Tuesday, April 7 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the library.  On Tuesday, March 31, from 7 to 8 p.m., a budget hearing will be held in the library program room.

The proposed library budget shows an increase of 3.9 percent over the current fiscal year.

“The Library Board has worked to hold any cost increases to a minimum,” says Director Lynn Overgaard in an informational release about the vote and hearing.

The grant recently awarded to the library is for building improvements and does not affect the operating budget.
