An October winter wonderland

Gwen Chamberlain
And you thought you were bewildered when you looked out the window this morning...

People all over the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier awoke this morning to a winter wonderland, where overnight snowfall ranged from a sugar-coating to a heavy load of nearly a couple of inches of snow.

In most cases, roads remained clear and there were no major incidents. The forecast calls for cold temperatures with rain mixing with snow through Sunday. Temperatures will rise to the 50s and 60s early next week.

There was a bit more than frost on the pumpkin this morning at this produce stand between Dundee and Penn Yan.
