Village elections will be held in Penn Yan, Dresden and Dundee on March 15.

Here’s a rundown of the candidates. Based on the petitions that have been turned in, the only village that will have a contested race is Dundee, where three people are seeking election to two trustee seats.

PENN?YAN: Christine Christiansen is seeking election to the seat she was appointed to when Robert Church became mayor last year.

DRESDEN: Joseph Gibson is running for the mayor post currently held by Loujane Johns, and Anthony Conley is running for the trustee seat previously vacated by Dave Wernsing and now occupied by appointee Dan Egburtson.

DUNDEE: Mayor Fred Cratsley Jr. is unopposed in seeking election to the post. Trustees Warren Smith and Greg Wright are being challenged by newcomer Jeremy Hall.

More information on the candidates and the election procedures will be published March 9.
