State Park staff to hold meeting on integrating Finger Lakes Museum

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation invites the public to a meeting to discuss the future of Keuka Lake State Park and integrating the proposed Finger Lakes Museum development into the operation and landscape of the state park. The meeting will be held on May 11, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at  Keuka Lake State Park’s picnic shelter  

State Park staff will present the process for evaluating how the park’s existing recreational programming, natural and cultural resources, and operations and maintenance are meeting the needs of the recreating public and preserving and protecting the park’s resources and proposing future changes for the park. Finger Lakes Museum staff will present their concept plan for the museum including location options and operations integration with the state park.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a “meet and greet” followed by presentations starting at 7 p.m. by State Parks and Finger Lakes Museum staff and close with a public input period.
