The 7th Annual New York Haiti Benefit Auction was held June 17 and 18 at the Yates County Fairgrounds. The event raises funds for several missions in Haiti. Dozens of hand- and machine stitched quilts are sold during the main auction.

The seventh annual New York Haiti Benefit Auction expanded again this year with more items sold on Friday evening and a fish fry added to that night's popular roast beef dinner.

Those changes alone brought in about 1,000 additional people to enjoy the festive atmosphere and a meal, according to organizers.

Two auctions ran simultaneously throughout the day Saturday, and the food concessions were busy from 6 a.m. through the close of the day. Another new feature of this year's auction was a concession selling Haitian foods.

Next year's auction will be held June 15 and 16 at the Yates County Fairgrounds.
