4-H Air Pistol program starts in January

The 4-H Shooting Sports program will hold a mini-program in the air pistol discipline in January to teach safe and responsible use of firearms and equipment.  

Open to youth ages 12+, Sunday, Jan. 22 and Sunday, Jan. 29 from noon to 3 p.m. both days at the Branchport Rod and Gun Club.  The cost is $20 for current 4-H members ,and $25 for non-members (which includes membership in 4-H which is mandatory for insurance purposes).  

This fee includes use of equipment and supplies.  You may be asked to bring a snack or supplemental supplies for activities as well.  

The program will be run by certified 4-H Shooting Sports instructors.  Parents/non-certified adults will not be allowed on the line with their child.  Youth may bring/use their own equipment at the discretion of the instructor.  If you plan to bring your own equipment, please specify when registering.  

When not on the shooting line, youth will participate in other project related activities.  

Registration is limited to 12; a waiting list will be started after 12.  

A registration form and fee, along with (for non-members) a medical release, code of conduct, and enrollment form, must be turned in to be considered registered.  Registration deadline is Jan. 18.
