Aug. 6 Events: Blood Drive, Ventriloquist, Finance Committee, Square Dance
A Dundee community blood drive will be held Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Dundee American Legion Post 660, 10 Spring St. An urgent need for blood continues for all blood types and especially for O Negative, A Negative and B Negative blood.
There is also a need for people willing to become DRC (double red cell donors). These donors give only red blood cells while the rest of the blood is returned to the body. This donation type can only be done every four months, is more comfortable, causes less dehydration and takes a little longer for a donation.
To make an appointment for this blood drive or to find locations of other upcoming area drives, go to redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-Red Cross. Appointments may be made locally by calling 607-243-7362 by 11 a.m. or after 7 p.m. or 607-661-0282.
