Individuality of Grieving Styles

Facing others’ expectations about what grief should look like or should feel like can undermine self-confidence, destabilize relationships and increase isolation. Rev. Max Bishop, Spiritual Care Coordinator for Ontario Yates Hospice, will lead a discussion about the effects of imposing beliefs about grieving styles on those who are mourning a loss. The discussion, “Don’t ‘Should’ on Me” will take place from 7 to 8 p.m April 8, at the First Presbyterian Church, 211 Main St., Penn Yan. The program is free, and pre-registration for planning purposes is appreciated by calling Keuka Comfort Care Home at 315-536-1690.
