Find some Halloween fun

There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy some Halloween fun in the area next week. In addition to the typical Halloween night Trick-or-Treating (generally from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31), there are events in area communities, including:

October 25

Halloween Parade

The Dundee Ladies Auxiliary of the Dundee Fire Department will host their yearly Halloween parade at 1 p.m. Oct. 25 starting at the Five Star Bank and parading along Main and Water Streets to the school gym for the party and costume judging.

October 26

Halloween Party

Johnson Costello #355 American Legion Auxiliary will host a Halloween Party for children up to age 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 26 at the post, 2001 Himrod Road, Penn Yan. Sign up at the post or call 315-536-8222.

October 31

Trunk or Treat

Individuals, organizations and businesses can participate in the Trunk or Treat organized by Dundee Area Youth Center from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 in the Save-A-Lot parking lot, Water St., Dundee. Please decorate the truck of your car, bed of your truck or open your van door and pass out candy to trick-or-treaters. For details and to register your vehicle, call 607-243-9171.

Halloween Party

The Halloween Party will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at Middlesex Fire House. Costume judging begins at 6:30 p.m. All who attend must live in the Middlesex Fire District. Children must be accompanied by a parent.

Halloween Party

A Halloween Party for children up to 10 years old will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Dundee American Legion, Spring St., Dundee. 607-243-8847 or 607-243-8285.

Fall Harvest Fest

A Fall Harvest Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 1 at Child and Family Resources, Inc. 263 Lake St,, Penn Yan. This Family Connections Event will include a pancake breakfast, art activities and more. Come share your costume (no weapons or full masks).
