Winter Weather Advisory for up to six inches of snow through Tuesday morning

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Yates, Schuyler, Steuben, Seneca, and Chemung Counties until 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The advisory is for an accumulation of up to six inches of snow, which will be heavy at times through tonight, and become light Tuesday morning.

Temperatures will remain in the teens to low 20s and winds will be northeast 10-20 mph late today into tonight, becoming north-northwest Tuesday, with gusts up to 25 mph.

Periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.
