Organizers have begun posting items for The Humane Society of Yates County’s annual “Pawction.” The donations — more than 200 — include new and gently used items, including new MacKenzie-Childs pieces, Vera Bradley bags and blankets, Girl Scout cookies, books, puzzles, wine trail tickets, a stay at the Microtel, a stay at a cabin in the woods, and a subscription to The Chronicle-Express.

Bidding starts at 7 p.m. April 30 and ends at 7 p.m. May 4 at a Facebook page dedicated to the auction called “HSYC Paw-ction,” (@humanesocietyofyatescountypawction).

To access the Pawction from the updated Humane Society website, click on “Events,”  and look for “go to Pawction site.”

Once at the Pawction page, click on “photos” which will take you to the 2019 “Pounce into Spring” Pawction album. Read the rules and then participate.

This is a great way to shop for yourself, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Graduation gifts while benefitting the cats and dogs of the shelter. All proceeds from the auction go to the Humane Society of Yates County.
