The Humane Society of Yates County extends thanks to everyone who supported the Bail for Paws lock up event held Friday, March 13 at the Penn Yan Moose Club.

The event raised $14,000 thanks to the work of the jailbirds: Judy Jones, Ryan Dailey, Brittany Tyler, Jude Adams, Kelley Rey-

nolds, Nate Smart, Cindy Rapalee, Leah Perry, Michele Howell, Jenny Chambers, Sommer Littell, and Babs Strunk.

“They all went above and beyond,” says Karen Castner, one of the event volunteers.

The event was also possible because of the contributions from Penn Yan Moose Club, Carey’s Rental, The Flour Shop, Sabrina’s Bake Shoppe, Carol Montero, and Tami Marchionda.

The funds raised will be used to help care for the animals at the Shelter of Hope.
