Dundee woman charged with stabbing, robbery, conspiracy
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that at about 5:20 a.m. June 3, a man arrived at the Steuben County Public Safety Building requesting help and medical assistance. The person, later identified as Mark Norton, reported he had been beaten, stabbed in the abdomen, and robbed by two males on Fish Hatchery Road in Bath. Norton was airlifted to a medical facility for treatment and later released. Steuben County Deputies and Investigators began an investigation which led to the recovery of video, the vehicle used, the persons allegedly involved, and an allegedly stolen vehicle.
Four people have been charged in the investigation:
1. Michelle M. Gause, 37, of State Rte. 14A, Dundee, with 1st degree assault degree, 1st degree robbery, 4th degree criminal facilitation, and 4th degree conspiracy. Gause was arraigned in Steuben County Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
2. Dylon L. Little, 28, of Belfast St., Bath, with 4th degree conspiracy. He was arraigned and released.
3. Corey J. Sloan, 34, of Highland Ave., Addison, is currently in custody in Danville, Va. A N.Y.S. Parole warrant has been filed with the State of Virginia for his extradition on charges of 1st degree assault and 1st degree robbery.
4. Brooke A. Hayden, 25, of South Division St., Hornell, with 1st degree assault, 1st degree robbery, 4th degree conspiracy, and 4th degree criminal facilitation. She was arraigned and released after posting $1,500 bail.
Sheriff Allard credited his deputies with “a systematic and thorough investigation,” and thanked the Hornell City Police Department for their assistance.
