The Yates County Sheriff’s Office extended a “Thank you” to the Yates County chapter of SCOPE (The Shooters’ Committee On Political Education) for the donation of firearms trigger locks as part of Project Child Safe.

“We would like to remind gun owners that firearm safety is the responsibility of all of us,” said Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike. “The use of trigger locks can aid in the prevention of accidents and negligent acts by those who access firearms and are not trained or responsible with their use.”
