Yates County Sheriff Report for January 16, 2008
Sally A. Swartley, 27 of 4685 McGrane Road, Romulus was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation third degree and speeding on Jan. 22.
Swartley was stopped on Central Avenue in the Town of Jerusalem for a speeding violation. A background check revealed her driver’s license was suspended due to failure to pay driver responsibility assessment. She was arraigned in Jerusalem Town Court and will re-appear.
Elaine M. Andrews, 36 and Randy Davis, Jr., both of McKinley Ave. Apartments in Penn Yan were arrested on Jan. 25 for offering a false instrument for filing first degree.
A Yates County Department of Social Services (DSS) worker reported concerns about forms submitted regarding child care assistance. An investigation revealed double billing and inaccurate information on forms that had been signed and submitted to DSS for payment. Andrews and Davis were issued appearance tickets.
Robert J. Harper, 38, of 325 North Ave., Penn Yan, was arrested on Jan. 28 for aggravated ulicensed operation second degree and speeding.
He was stopped by Deputy Betts on State Route 21 in the Town of Italy for a speeding violation. A background check revealed his driver’s license was suspended.
Harper was transported to Town of Italy Court for arraignment and taken to the Yates County Public Safety Building on $500 cash bail. He will appear to answer charges in Town of Italy Court.
