Yates County Sheriff Report for February 13, 2008

Cabel B. Doyle, 27, of State Route 14A, Penn Yan, was arrested for harassment second degree on Feb. 7.   Doyle allegedly subjected a family member to unwanted contact and made verbal threats toward that person.  Sheriff’s Deputies filed paper work requesting an arrest warrant be issued by the Town of Benton Justice on the harassment charges. Doyle was located walking on Liberty Street by Penn Yan Police. Deputies responded and took Doyle to Benton Court.  He was placed in the Yates County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail. An order of protection was issued.

Richard F. Titus, 47, of 200 Krenzer Road, Scottsville, was charged with felony DWI, unsafe lane change and having an open container on Feb. 8 at 1:40 a.m.  Titus was involved in a one car MVA on Lower Road in the Town of Italy.  Deputies detected an odor of alcohol and Titus was unable to perform a series of field sobriety test.  He was transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building for a chemical test.  Titus was arraigned in Town of Italy Court and is being held on bail.

Eric G. Starnes, 42, 2312 Clark Road, Penn Yan, was arrested on Feb. 9, after a 911 call was received reporting a domestic incident at his residence.  The investigation resulted in Starnes being charged with endangering the welfare of a child after he punched a child in the head with his fist. Starnes was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal contempt first degree a class E felony for violating an order of protection issued from Benton Town Court.  He was arraigned in Benton Town Court and committed to Yates County Jail without bail to reappear at a later date.
