Penn Yan Police report for May 28, 2008

Timothy Carson, 26, of Hoyt Road was arrested on May 21 at 9:15 a.m. for criminal possession of marijuana fifth degree.  Police were investigating a report of individuals smoking marijuana along the Outlet Trail.  Carson was charged after being found to have over 25 grams of marijuana in his possession.  He was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in village court on June 9.

Justin L. Covert, 19, of 309 Keuka St., was charged on May 21 with criminal contempt second degree.  Covert went to a location in the village of Penn Yan in violation of a court order.  He was issued a ticket to answer the charges in Penn Yan Village Court.

Timothy Carson, 26, of Hoyt Road was arrested on May 24 at 12:03 a.m. for unlawful possession of marijuana in the fifth degree. Officers stopped Carson and found him to be in possession of three sandwich bags of marijuana having an aggregate weight of over 25 grams, as well as an electronic scale and a smoking device. Officers impounded Carson’s vehicle and released him to a third party on an appearance ticket.
