Farmington woman seriously injured in Jerusalem accident

A Farmington woman who was seriously injured in an accident in Yates County on Tuesday, March 3, is still listed in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester on March 5.

Kaylee N. Howcroft, 21, of 30 Gannet Road, Farmington, sustained a broken arm, broken pelvis and internal injuries when her vehicle struck a telephone pole on the driver's side front door.

According to Yates County Sheriff Deputy Brad Cole, Howcroft was driving eastbound on County House Road near the Sutton Road in the town of Jerusalem when she lost control of the vehicle, which went off the south side of the road.

She was initially transported to Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan and later transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight.

The Penn Yan Fire Department and Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.
