Krystinea J. Howes, 25, 116 Fayette St., Palmyra, was charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation (AUO) and speed in zone on March 10 on State Route 54A in the Town of Jerusalem. When she was stopped for a speeding violation, investigation revealed that her license was suspended. She was arraigned in the Town of Italy Court and is to return to the Town of Jerusalem Court. She was placed in Yates County Jail in lieu of bail.

Joshua W. Woodard, 24, 6487 Italy Valley Road, Naples, was charged with AUO and speed in zone on State Route 21 in the Town of Italy at 2:20 p.m. March 10. After arraignment in Town of Italy Court, he was released on his own recognizance to reappear.

James R. Henderson, 50, 2741 Route 14A, Penn Yan and Nathaniel H. Henderson, 24, 2655 Route 14A, Penn Yan were each charged with second degree harassment and Nathaniel was also charged with fourth degree criminal mischief after the Yates County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint. The two allegedly had a physical confrontation with two Town of Milo residents and during the altercation, it is alleged that Nathaniel also damaged a vehicle and other personal property. They were both issued tickets to appear in court at a later date, reports Deputy Brad Quayle.

Brandy L. Corbitt, 22, 34 Highland Drive, Dundee and Maria A. Rodriguez, 20, 30 Hollister St., Dundee, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on March 10. They were issued tickets to appear in Village of Dundee Court after they were found in possession of marijuana at 34 Highland Drive, Dundee.

Greg Haviland, 27, of 4195 Old Route 14, Dundee, was charged with second degree criminal contempt for a violation of a court order on March 12. Haviland had been arrested on March 6 on a warrant issued by Seneca County Family Court Judge Dennis Bender. During that arrest, deputies learned Haviland was living with a person named in a temporary order of protection in violation of the stay away provision ordered by Bender. Starkey Judge Helen Halbritter issued an arrest warrant as requested by deputies. Haviland appeared before Halbritter on the misdemeanor criminal contempt charge and committed to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. Further court action is scheduled in April.

Charles R. Schenk, 33, 1616 Reddy Road, Bellona, was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief at 8:17 p.m. March 15. Deputy Randy Andrews reports the Yates County Sheriff’s office received a complaint from a homeowner in the Town of Benton that Schenk had caused damage to their house with a hammer during an argument. Schenk was arrested and arraigned in the Town of Benton Court and placed in Yates County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 fully secured bond. New York State Police assisted at the scene.
