In a press release dated July 7, New York State Police report the June 12 arrest of Thomas Boorom, 56, of Dundee for third degree grand larceny and first degree falsifying business records.

The state police in Dundee determined that Boorom stole over $17,000 from the Dundee American Legion Post. The investigation revealed that Boorom, the former commander of the post, allegedly failed to report the sale of 31 pull-tab games that were sold at the establishment and kept the money from the sale.

Boorom was arraigned before Village Justice Paula Seeley and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond.
