Mariona Gonzalez Garcia, 21, and Garardo Calan-Atz, 53, addresses unknown, were arrested Oct. 7 for immigration violations. Deputies were investigating a car/deer MVA on State Route 54A in the Town of Barrington and found the two persons were illegally in the United States.  U.S. Border Patrol was contacted and instructed Deputies Jeff Rider, Ken Kamholtz and Sgt. Randy Andrews to transport the two subjects to the Yates County Jail, where the Border Patrol agents took the subjects into custody.

Archie C. Castle, 18, of 125 A West Lake Road Lot 2, Penn Yan, was arrested shortly after midnight on Oct. 8 for DWI, possession of alcohol under 21 and moving from a lane unsafely. Deputies stopped Castle for a traffic infraction on State Route 54A and Central Avenue. An odor of alcohol was detected on his breath.  Castle was placed through field sobriety tests and transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building for a chemical test. He was arraigned in Jerusalem Court and released to a parent. He will answer charges at a later date.

Three teens were arrested on Oct. 8 at 12:10 a.m. for unlawful possession of alcohol under 21. Timothy S. Mandell, 19, of 20 Grannan Drive, Corning; Kristen M. Oakes, 19, of 628 Reynolds St., Elmira; and Dana V. Fontana, 19, of 6 Scott Road, Sloatsburg were found inside a vehicle on Central Avenue in the Town of Jerusalem during a traffic stop. They were issued appearance tickets to answer charges in Jerusalem Court.

Stephen J. Fergusen, 20, of 5193 Forest Edge Drive, Syracuse, was arrested on Oct. 9 for DWI and possessin of alcohol under 21. Deputies stopped Ferguson for a traffic infraction on State Route 54A in the Town of Jerusalem. An odor of alcohol was detected on the defendant and he was placed through field sobriety tests and transported to the Yates County Public Safety building for a chemical test. Fergusen was arraigned in Benton Court and is to answer charges in Jerusalem Court.
