Penn Yan Police report for October 28, 2009

Steven Meland, 43, of 119 Sheppard St., Penn Yan, was arrested on Oct. 20 for endangering the welfare of a child and harassment (second degree).  He is accused of grabbing and choking a village resident under the age of 17 on Monday night, Oct. 19. He was arraigned in village court and is scheduled to reappear in court on Oct. 26.

Teresa M. Thompson, 37, of 227 Sheppard St., Penn Yan was arrested on Oct. 19 for criminal possession of a controlled substance (seventh degree) and petit larceny. The arrest was the result of a police investigation into the theft of prescription medication from a village residence. Thompson was issued a ticket to  ppear in village court on Oct. 27.

Jeanne E. Fultz, 47, of Liberty St., Penn Yan, was arrested on Oct. 25 for driving while intoxicated (DWI0, failure to use turn signal and refusal of alco-sensor. Village police observed Fultz failing to use a turn signal when changing lanes.  he was given field sobriety tests and found to be intoxicated.  She refused to submit to alco-sensor and breath test. Fultz was issued tickets on the charges and released pending court appearance on Oct. 26.
