A Jerusalem resident, already on New York State parole, was charged in a drug investigation by the Yates County Sheriff's Dept. March 28.

Sean M. Weimer, 23, of 2739 Rte. 54A, Penn Yan, was charged with two counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (class B felony), two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (class B felony), three counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (class A misdemeanor), and one count of possession of a hypodermic needle (class A misdemeanor). He will also be facing charges of parole violation. His original offense is not available as he was granted youthful offender status for that crime.

According to Lt. Todd Sotir, it is alleged that Weimer sold controlled substances to a police agent on two occasions. He was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and residue which tested positive for heroin and cocaine during a home visit by parole officers.

Weimer was arraigned in Jerusalem Court, and committed to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
