Local restaurant manager charged with check fraud

Michael K. Henderson, 27, of 1956 Rte. 54, Penn Yan, was arrested April 26  by Penn Yan Police on a charge of first degree scheme to defraud. It is alleged that Henderson wrote numerous checks during the period of March through June 2010 that were returned as unpayable.

According to investigator Michael Donovan, Henderson wrote the checks to his employees and vendors in connection with his management of a Penn Yan area restaurant during that time. He was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Penn Yan Court.
