Two arrested in Dundee burglaries
Two Dundee men have been arrested in connection to burglaries in the Dundee area.
Yast County Sheriff's Department Inv. Patrick Manahan reports that Steven T. Crawford, 17, of 4486 State Route 14, Dundee and Joseph C. Cook II, 18, of 9 Oakwood Estates, Dundee, were charged with two counts of third degree burglary, third and fourth degree criminal mischief.
Additionally, Cook was charged with another count of third degree burglary and petit larceny.
The arrests followed investigation into burglaries at the Pour House and Beauty Craft Salon. Crawford and Cook allegedly forcibly entered the businesses, damaging the doors in both buildings.
Crawford was arraigned in Starkey Town Court on June 2 and was remanded to the Yaters County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
The Starkey Court issued an order for Cook to appear as he is currently incarcerated in Yates County Jail. The additional charges against Cook are in connection with the overnight burglary of the Himrod Eagle in April, when cash and liquor were stolen.
The New York State Police assisted in the investigation.
