Deputy Brad Quayle, Dundee School Resource Officer presents a Certificate of Appreciation to Chad Sheehan signed by Sheriff Ron Spike.

Chad Sheehan, a Penn Yan resident and paraplegic, recently spoke to the Dundee Central School senior class on the perils of driving while intoxicated.

He was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident in 1995 after he had been drinking, which left him paralyzed from his injury.

His life experience and subsequent efforts to prevent this dangerous drinking and driving activity to others is a tribute to his quest to take a tragedy and use it to positively educate and prevent this from happening to our youth.

His talk was inspiring to the seniors and appreciated by the Sheriff's Department and he is worthy of recognition for his positive efforts.
