Ontario County deputies are investigating a possible drowning that happened on Canadaigua Lake near Long Point Road in the town of Gorham just after 5 p.m. Monday, May 28.

Thomas Palmer, 49, of Macedon, was underwater for about 10 minutes before he was found, deputies said. Another boater passing by heard screaming from Palmer's boat, so jumped in to the water, found Palmer, and brought him to the surface. Medics attempted CPR, and Palmer was taken to F.F.
