The second annual Bike the Bluff fundraiser for the St. Michael’s School will be Saturday, July 9 at the new Keuka College athletic fields on Assembly Avenue. Last year’s event raised more than $8,000, and the organizers hope to raise more than $10,000 to help Penn Yan’s only parochial elementary school stay open another 129 years.

Bike the Bluff offers three scenic, safe and well-planned routes for beginning, intermediate and experienced bicyclists. Riders on all three routes will enjoy striking views of Keuka Lake’s beautiful shoreline while raising money for the area’s premier primary school.

St. Michael’s School principal, David Paddock, who pedaled the 12-mile route with Father Jack O’Connor, is challenging all exercise enthusiasts and Keuka Lake fans to come out on July 9 to join him, “It will be a great day to enjoy the bluff!” he exclaims.
