Out of the Darkness Community Walk

It’s been a while, but we’re still here and we’re still planning the 2020 Out of the Darkness Community Walk. In case you haven’t heard yet, this year we’re merging temporarily with the Finger Lakes Walk because they suddenly lost their venue. This just means we have more walkers, more volunteers, and more funds that can be raised.

Walkers and teams, we need you to sign up, join a team, create a team, and invite your friends! Save your friends’ time by registering for them. If you’ve already registered for the walk, you can register up to 10 more people online—all you need is their email address.

Let us help promote your personal or team fundraisers

This year, many of our past walk sponsors will be unable to help us due to economic hardship. So instead, we’re working on gathering raffle items/baskets and want to also promote your personal/team fundraisers to help make them as successful as they can be. Promotion will be via email to our lists, and on our various local/regional AFSP and suicide prevention Facebook accounts.

Please email our walk chairs Denise Slocum (gcs3318@yahoo.com) and Mike Mashewske (mmashewske@yahoo.com) with any questions about volunteering and fundraising.

Thank you for your support.
