Village Elections will be held March 18 in Penn Yan, Dundee, Dresden and Rushville. There are no contested races in Penn Yan, Dundee or Dresden, but Rushville voters will have choices to make.

PENN YAN — Incumbent Trustees Kevin McLoud, Rich Stewart, and Dan Condella are seeking re-election to their seats for another 4-year-term, and Justice Michael Christensen is seeking election to the seat he was appointed to earlier this year. This term in the village court is a 4-year term.

DUNDEE — Incumbent Trustees Larry Howell and Judy Duquette are seeking re-election to 4-year terms on the village board.

DRESDEN — One trustee seat, held by Bryan Flynn will be up for election. Because of the election, the regular village board meeting will be held March 25 instead of March 18.

RUSHVILLE — Incumbent Mayor John Sawers is being challenged by David LeClair.

Incumbent Chandra J. Gilman is being challenged by Karen Gorton and Jamie Landcastle III for two seats on the village board, each with 4-year terms.

Doug Rigby is seeking election to a 2-year trustee term.

Elections will be held from noon to 9 p.m. at the respective village halls Wednesday, March 18.

Village elections are typically held the third Tuesday of March, but because St. Patrick’s Day falls on the third Tuesday this year, the elections will be held the next day.
