Jamie J. Richardson Sr.

The Chronicle Express

Jamie J. Richardson Sr., 64, of Dundee, left this world to fly with the angels Saturday, May 30, 2020 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.

Honoring his wishes there are no calling hours.  A Celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the family c/o Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water St., Dundee, NY 14837.

Jamie was born June 3, 1955 in Penn Yan, the son of the late Robert Carlton and Evelyn Joyce (Northrup) Richardson Sr.  A lifelong area resident, Jamie had various jobs throughout his life; he had been a surveyor with Dwight Lafler, worked for Coach & Equipment, and for the longest time, as a fiberglass specialist and electrician for the Penn Yan Boat Co. in Penn Yan.

Mr. Richardson was the epitome of an avid animal lover and true sportsman. He raised and trained Beagles, as well as many other animals.  He was an accomplished dove expert, and exhibited his talents with numerous dove releases for funerals. There was not a species that he would hesitate to keep as a pet – fur, feather, or scale.

He is dearly loved and will be forever missed by his six children, Tracey L. (Paul) Darcy of Rock Stream, Nicole L. (Steve Paulhamus) Richardson of Lindley, Jamie J. Richardson II, and Aaron D. (Brooke) Richardson, both of Dundee, Tryna R. Richardson of Winston Salem, N.C., and Vanessa R. Pompeo of Geneva; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Robert C. Richardson of Trumansburg; brother-in-law, Richard E. Kennerson Sr. of Penn Yan; and several nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, he was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, J. C. Lynne Darcy in 2014; a sister, Robyn Jo Kennerson in 2015; and a son, Pete Leslie Alan Richardson in 2019.

Arrangements entrusted to the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. Online condolences can be sent by visiting www.bairdfuneralhomedundee.com.
