LETTER: An update from Yates County GOP

The Chronicle Express

The Yates County Republican Committee (YCRC) shares the following news items from its Jan. 28 full committee meeting:

• There are over 50 offices open for election this year: District Attorney, Part Time Treasurer, Legislators (14 seats), Coroner, and several town offices. Republican committee members are available to assist Republican candidates with gathering required petition signatures. If you are interested in running for office and getting more involved in how your government is run, you can contact the Board of Elections at www.yatescounty.org/306/Candidates; or Yates County Republican Committee Chairman John Prendergast at johnYCRepublicans@gmail.com. You must register to run, and then carry petitions by March 25.

• We are still planning our next Annual "Taste of Yates" fundraiser later this year. More details will be announced later.

• We are continuing our GOP Chairman's Club membership for those who interested in helping further Republican programs in Yates County. Anyone wanting to find out more about this event or activities, or how to join the committee should contact GOP Chairman John Prendergast at johnYCRepublicans@gmail.com
