Yates GOP announces annual dinner, slate of county candidates
The Yates County Republican Committee (YCRC) shares the following news items from its Sept. 9 full committee meeting:
Annual GOP Dinner
The YCRC will hold its Annual Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 7 at Season's on Keuka Lake, 110 Mace St., Penn Yan. Mix and mingle from 5-7 p.m., followed by the dinner and program from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Our keynote speaker will be U.S. Congressman & gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin.
The following candidates have been endorsed by the YCRC in the general election Tuesday, Nov. 2.
County District Attorney - Todd Casella, seeking re-election.
County Treasurer - Marsha Devine, seeking election.
County Coroner - Theron Smith, seeking re-election.
• District 1 (Jerusalem, Middlesex, Italy: four seats)
Ed Bronson, Doug Paddock, Tim Cutler, Pat Killen, seeking re-election.
• District 2 (Benton, Potter, Torrey: three seats)
Terry Button, Rick Wilson, Dick Harper, seeking re-election.
• District 3 (Milo: four seats)
Dan Banach, Leslie Church, Carlie Chilson, seeking re-election.
Mark Morris, seeking election.
• District 4 (Barrington, Starkey: three seats)
Bill Holgate, Bonnie Percy, seeking re-election.
Jesse Jayne, seeking election.
Town supervisors, board members, superintendents, clerks, and others up for election will be announced later.
Your vote counts, and we encourage everyone to vote. If you're not registered, you have until Oct. 8 to do so.
Republicans believe in: strong economy, limited government, strong military, immigration control, upholding the Constitution, the right to bear arms, and affordable health care.
