Experience, commitment mean a lot in DA position

To the Editor,

We live in a wonderful community, full of a number of dedicated, hardworking individuals, farmers, businesspersons and professionals.

I owned and managed a business in Penn Yan, served on the Milo Town Board as Councilman and Supervisor for over 30 years. During that time, I had the opportunity to meet and interact with a number of hard working individuals, fine public servants and attorneys. Amongst those is Jason Cook. Jason Cook impresses me as an experienced, committed and young prosecutor.

I feel Yates County is fortunate to have Jason Cook as a candidate for Yates County District Attorney who has dedicated his career as a prosecutor.

Among the prosecutor’s responsibilities are to prosecute defendants and defend the rights of the victims. As an experienced Assistant District Attorney, Jason has done that.

Jason brings with him knowledge and experience of Schuyler, Steuben and Yates Counties’ accomplished and respected district attorneys.

An employer looks for an employee that is young, energetic and knowledgeable of the job and experienced, I see that in Jason Cook.He is well prepared to serve as the next Yates County District Attorney and has my support.
