Where have all the backbones gone?

I don’t know about you, but the single most irritating thing to me is someone messing with my food.

It seems to me that the majority of America is okay with that.  Need proof of that? Look to our children!  Two out of three children statistically are overweight, and one of those, two children will develop childhood diabetes.

Children have become so accustomed to a lifestyle because of parents, dare I say, not caring enough what goes into their child’s mouth.  Children eat genetically modified, dye filled, preservative happy crap.

Did you know that one of the ingredients in soda is used in Dr.’s offices to burn off venereal warts?

Don’t even get me started on the havoc that it plays on teeth, yet having said that, I am sure people will continue to drink them.  Why? Well, most American’s do not have a backbone, and cannot stop.  It’s not their fault, it’s what corporations have made them accustomed to.

If more people were aware of what they ate, we would definitely be more choosy on what we consumed, and global warming would slow down a bit. We are putting up with this, because all we can afford is crap food.

There are small steps you can take to help, and if enough people do it, big corporations will have no choice but to lower their pricing and sell their expensive “health food” to real people that struggle to make ends meat.

Here is what you can do: buy local, buy in season, and support local vendors (buying local helps cut down on the gas emissions it takes for a big rig to ship your potatoes from Idaho and apples from Washington).
