Lady Scots win two but lose to Bombers
The Dundee Scots Girl’s Basketball team picked up two wins, one league and one non-league and lost one league game last week.
On Jan. 8 in Bloomfield, the Lady Scots fell to host Bloomfield by a 60-34 margin. The Bombers rolled to a 21-2 first quarter lead and never looked back. Bloomfield solidified their first place lead in the Finger Lakes West with the win. Dundee’s league record slipped to 3-3, 5-4 overall.
Nikki Muoio was Dundee’s top scorer with 14 points including three, 3-pointers. She also added 4 assists. Casi Strait added 13 points.
On Thursday night at home, the Lady Scots bounced back with a big 41-36 win over league rival Red Jacket. Dundee trailed by 3 points, 28-25 after three quarters but pulled the game out in the final stanza with a 16-8 run including 7 out of 9 at the foul line.
Casi Strait chalked up 20 points and pulled down 7 rebounds to lead the Dundee charge.
Nikki Muoio chipped in 7 points for the victorious Lady Scots.
On Saturday evening, the Dundee Girls improved their overall record to 7-4 with a 37-30 home win over neighboring Hammondsport.
