Dundee Lady Scots win two, lose one

The Dundee Lady Scots basketball team won two games out of three played this past week as the 2007/8 season progresses towards its final weeks. 

On Monday night in Dundee, the Lady Scots outscored the visiting Saints of Geneva DeSales in every quarter en route to a 58-40 Finger Lakes West win.  Dundee jumped to a 32-21 halftime lead and captured their fifth league win in eight tries. 

Casi Strait had a big game scoring 24 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. 

Teammate Nikki Mouio added 12 points and captured seven boards.

The Maroon and White was not as successful on Wednesday at home against Romulus.  the Warriors broke open a close contest with a 34-13 run in the second half and won going away 61-35.  Nikki Muoio scored 16 points and Casi Strait chipped in 12 points to lead Dundee.

The Lady Scots jumped back to their winning ways with a 53-39 victory over Naples in Dundee on Friday evening.

 A 12-4 margin in favor of the Scots in the opening quarter set the tone for the evening as the game was never much in doubt.  Once again Casi Strait was Dundee’s top scorer with 22 points including three, 3-pointers. 

Nikki Muoio added nine points for the victoriuos Lady Scots ( 9-5,6-4).
