Penn Yan 39 (O.T.)

Penn Yan has played their share of close games this season including three that has gone right down to the final buzzer.  The Mustangs experienced another nail bitter at home on Friday evening.  Some late game heroics by Mustang senior Cody Allison went for naught as Penn Yan dropped a 46-39 decision to Midlakes.

Allison drained a pressure packed hoop with just 5 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 36 and send it into overtime.  But the Eagles outscored Penn Yan 10-3 in the bonus stanza to escape Yates County with the win.

James Willson netted 19 points to lead the Orange and Blue.  Joe Colaneri drained three 3-pointers for nine points and Cody Allison chipped in 5 points for the ‘Stangs (3-11,8-11).  Penn Yan closes out the regular season on Tuesday night in Waterloo
