Justin Galusha wins Section V wrestling

 Penn Yan Mustang wrestler Justin Galusha will advance to next Saturday’s State Qualifier at Gordon Fieldhouse on the campus of R.I.T. in Rochester. 

Galusha defeated Dansville’s Michael Heiss 5-0 to win the championship in the 152 lbs. class at the 2008 Section V Class BBBB Championships held at Bath’s Haverling High over the weekend.  This was the second consecutive weekend the Mustang grappler had come away with a tournament championship.  He also won the title at 152 lbs. at the Finger Lakes Wrestling Invitational held at the Community Center in Lyons on Feb. 9.

The Penn Yan Mustang Wrestling team finished in 10th place overall in Bath with 43.0 total team points.  Marcus Whitman finished in 13th place with 32.0 team points.  Wildcat wrestler Dakota Robarge (140lbs.) and Noah Chevere (285 lbs.) picked up fourth place finishes in Saturday’s event.
